Physician-Scientist with PhD Trajectory

As a Physician-Scientist, you will

  • Provide medical input and co-write study-related documentation (medical content) together with the Clinical Team
  • Execute complex interventional clinical trials, while adhering to relevant guidelines, legislation, SOP’s and industry quality standards, possibly in one or more (university) hospitals in the Netherlands
  • Perform reserved medical tasks (In Dutch: voorbehouden medische handelingen), as part of our clinical trials
  • Safeguard the safety of study participants and monitor, interpret, and report (serious) adverse events to the relevant authorities
  • Maintain communication with the relevant medical teams regarding outpatient scheduling and join multidisciplinary meetings (in Dutch: MDOs)
  • Enter data in electronic Case Report Forms (eCRFs) and analyse study related data
  • Write scientific publications and reports for clients, TRACER and other bodies such as CCMO, METc, or EMA

Ideally, you fit the following profile

  • You want to conduct clinical trials within a commercial scientific environment
  • You can clearly communicate with your team and client
  • You take responsibility and accountability for your project tasks
  • You have analytical capabilities
  • You have exceptional time management skills
  • You are dedicated to continuously learning
  • You speak, write, and read fluently in Dutch and English
  • You are willing to travel to clinical study sites across the Netherlands to conduct clinical trials

A monthly salary of €3.800 (gross) based on a full-time position (40hrs). But besides a paycheck and appreciation, we have more for you in store.

PhD Trajectory

During your PhD trajectory, the opportunity is offered to prepare manuscripts, for scientific publications, of the clinical trials in which TRACER and you are involved. This will always be in close collaboration with the sponsor of the study. After publishing several scientific papers, these can be consolidated into a dissertation, with a common topic covered in the scientific articles. An appointed supervisor from TRACER guide you throughout this trajectory. Additionally, the PhD candidate will be registered as an external PhD candidate at a university.
